Job Responsibilities
We are looking for a team leader/cook for Malmö City and the Employment Market Department's own work team, located at Nora servering on Fänriksgatan 1. You will work with employees in the kitchen who are part of the labor market program, targeting Malmö residents receiving social assistance and young people aged 18 to 29 from the Social Services.
Your role includes promoting social learning combined with vocational learning. The operation has a wide range of activities that include hot kitchen, cold kitchen, bakery, serving, catering, and conferences.
We place great importance on your ability to create trust and build good relationships. You should be development-oriented and have a collaborative attitude.
Your responsibilities as a team leader include:
- In collaboration with another team leader, plan, lead, and distribute tasks within the team.
- Introduce and instruct participants in daily work within the kitchen and conference.
- Contribute to the development and empowerment of participants in the team. We work with both social learning and vocational learning with the goal that they can find work in the regular labor market or start studies.
- Work with a language development approach and a consequence pedagogical approach.
- Continuously work with the work setup and adapt tasks according to the target group.
- Participate in follow-ups with employment officers and the Employment Agency regarding participants' planning and development.
- Be responsible for safety/routines/work environment at the workplace.
- Collaborate with teams within the Employment Market Department's kitchen operations.
Qualifications
To be considered for the position, you must have:
- Completed secondary education.
- Culinary training.
- At least five years of experience working as a cook.
- Experience in a leadership role.
- Good knowledge of systematic work environment management.
- Driver's license for manual transmission vehicles.
- Swedish – ability to communicate fluently in speech and writing.
- Ability to handle digital tools and the Office suite.
It is an advantage if you have:
- Education in behavioral science or social pedagogy.
- Work experience guiding individuals with little or no work experience or individuals with disabilities.
- Experience leading individuals with low language proficiency in Swedish.
